D.C.

D.C. was our first meet-up locations, so we can officially say that this place bloomed our travel dreams as a couple. Back in 2014, I was living in Atlanta and Andre was in Pittsburgh, but I was visiting D.C. for work. Andre made the trip down from the Burgh’ while I was in D.C., and we explored the city together for the first time. We ended up visiting D.C. multiple times after that because there is so much to do there that it is tough to cover it all in one visit. The Constitution Gardens hold a special place in our hearts, but some of our top National Mall places to explore are the U.S. Capitol, Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, World War II Memorial, Thomas Jefferson Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and Korean War Veterans Memorial. Most of the attractions in D.C. are free, which is another perk for this place. Here are the spots we gathered so far…
