Obviously, there are various lists of wonders around the world, but Andre has his eye on the following spots. The New 7 Wonders include Chichen Itza, the Great Wall, Petra, Christ the Redeemer, Machu Picchu, the Colosseum, and the Taj Mahal. Thankfully, we can accomplish these amongst our other two goals. We actually covered two on separate lists for our birthdays in 2017. For my birthday, we went to the Grand Canyon, and for Andre’s, we went to the Yucatan on a cruise and reached Chichen Itza.
If you go to Chichen Itza, bring an umbrella, not for the rain, but the intense sun beating down in that area. We took a tour of the ruins with our cruise, but you can walk around the area on your own without issue. The Mayan ruins are amazing, but the surrounding areas are not to be missed either; if you have a chance to make it to a cenote, jump in!
The other wonders on various lists that peaked our interest, are the Grand Canyon, aka, one of the most breathtaking places ever, the Empire State Building, the Golden Gate Bridge, CN Tower, and Hoover Dam. You can see some of our pictures for those below. Check out the locations on this blog for more details.
Wonders we haven’t seen that are at the top our list include the New 7 Wonders above, Old City of Jerusalem, Great Pyramid of Giza, Table Mountain, Great Barrier Reef, and the Polar ice caps.
We haven’t used this tour group personally, but On the Go Tours has an ultimate bucket list tour if you’re in the market to see all of these at once. You can check out more details HERE. It sounds like quite the adventure!
